Automate Actions: clear date field does not work

To clear a date field in automate actions the remark tells that I have to enter a single space into the day field in dialogue specify value.
But this does not work, the date field is not cleared in the underlying table. No restrictions (filters) are set, so the automation should run every time the record is saved.

Just checked and it works ok for me. You have to enter Space in Day in put field

Strange: I deleted the filters for the automated actions and recreated them in the same way as before, now everything is working properly. No clue why.
