Okay, no replay seems to be the hint for: GO BACK AND CHECK THE PROCEDURES AGAIN!
Which I did and recognized that routine
5. Run /install/autoupdate/data_perpare_from_1.7_to_1.8.php
did not run or did not run properly (I may have spelled "prepare" instead of "perpare" and did not read the responding messages).
This is solved.
