Post by metwra »

Hello is anyone else getting this error when trying to use the new google map field type?
The attachment maps.png is no longer available
I enabled both GeoLocation API and Map Embed API

Added API Key to the field type.
The attachment apprestrictions.png is no longer available

Hello Sergey

I've looked but will have to look when have more time.
Currently makes no sense, there are numerous answers on that page.
Its basically saying all sorts including adding other API's for things not mentioned in the field type.

From the picture you posted, it say it's disabled...

Go to Developer Console -> APIs & auth -> APIs

Search for Geocoding and click on Google Maps Geocoding API -> Enable API. Do the same thing for Geolocating

Hi Sergey

Thats the confusing part

Both are enabled?

Not sure where on the images it said it was disabled?

The restricted settings as far as i know are not to disable just to prevent other access

When i check the everything is enabled, tried disabling and reenabling

Tried turning off all restrictions on credentials, still same error

When i click on either geolocation or embed maps both are enabled.

I can't reproduce this issue. Tried on local and live server and both works ok for me.

Had another look and still cant figure it out

It looks simple

Get an api
Enable two services

But for me its not working, I've tried enabling a number of other services but still nothing but errors.
What am I missing, there must be more to it than simply adding the api key to the fieldtype and enabling two services.

Is anyone else having trouble with this?

I have been facing the same issue, so for those who are struggling getting their google maps API to work I required the following API’s enabled and included in my API restrictions...

Maps Embed API
Geolocation API
Maps JavaScript API
Geocoding API
Places API

https://www.wpgmaps.com/documentation/t ... -this-api/

Note that I had to set Application Restrictions to ‘none’ for the API to work on Ruko.
