"Tree view" and "Related Items" not working

I have an entity called "process" with the "tree view". Within this entity we have the "related items" type field.

When we open a sub item we cannot link the processes using the "related items" field.

After completing the linking procedure, it appears in the comments that the items were linked, however, the records are not displayed in the specific field.

I've already checked and we don't have any filters applied.

I don't know if this is a bug or if it's the way the system works, but I needed to be able to link these items.

Any ideas?
