Hi,

There is a concern about French traduction for emails integration :

In English :

Code: Select all

define('TEXT_EXT_ONE_MINUTE_AGO','minute ago');
define('TEXT_EXT_MINUTES_AGO','minutes ago');
define('TEXT_EXT_MINUTES_AGO_LONG','minutes ago');
define('TEXT_EXT_ONE_HOUR_AGO','hour ago');
define('TEXT_EXT_HOURS_AGO','hours ago');
define('TEXT_EXT_HOURS_AGO_LONG','hours ago');
define('TEXT_EXT_ONE_DAY_AGO','day ago');
define('TEXT_EXT_DAYS_AGO','days ago');
define('TEXT_EXT_DAYS_AGO_LONG','days ago');
But in French, we say :

Il y a 1 minute
Il y a 5 minutes
Il y a 1 jour
Il y a 5 jours

Currently, translation is weird for example : 2023-03-13 21:45 (2 - il y a des heures)

It literally means : (2 - there is several hours ago)

Maybe there is a tag ? (like %s)

Or maybe I can translate with "2 - jours déjà" (means : "2 - days already", it's okay but little familiar)

What do you think about that ? To be honest, I didn't understand the current translation before I saw the English version.

"hour ago" means "This email received 1 hour ago"

Yes, in French you need to write "il y a" before, not like English at the end.

"il y a" is "ago" but it needs to be before time. It needs to be "il y a" + number + "jours" or "heures"
It's why I spoke about a tag like %s to represent number maybe.

At this time, I will change for number + "heures déjà", but it's not the real translation.

I see. Next time I will use %s to represent number. Thank you for explanation.
