Module telephony: URL for end call leaves blank tab
If phone call ends and according URL is called by softphone a new blank screen/tab occurs. I would expect that the opened tab closes automatically after writing phone data to the database or a remark is shown that the data has been written to database. First option is preferred because - if receiving/inititing many calls - many many tabs will be opened and need to be closed manually.

softphone can't close the tab. It's just open url in default browser.

Re: Module telephony: URL for end call leaves blank tab
This is correct, but not what I mean:
If at end of a call the URL is called by the softphone opens a new browser page/tab to update the underlying table. This works properly. But it leaves the empty page open. So I have to close the blank space manually. If I don't do that at the end a lot of empty tabs are left in the browser.
So it will be more convenient, when the update request has been processed, the blank page should automatically be closed. It is possible to send a close request to the browser pageby the PHP process.
