Upgrade Process

Dear Support,

What I understand is I will need first take backup of the existing database. Then Download the new 1.5 version and copy the db_update for 1.5 version in to the existing install/db_update/ folder. Then run the sql query for the the 1.5 update from phpmyadmin and then over write the whole folder of 1.5 version over the 1.4 version.

I hope i made sense . I am not very sure how to do the db_update. Hope you can please help in step by step manner. Appreciate your valued support here.

yes, first do db backup
then open phpmyadmin for example in your hosting control panel and run sql query update_1.5.sql for current database that your are using.
then rewrite files from archive

Thanks a lot. and in case of Extension 1.1. the upgrade process should just be over write. Will it affect the license i have already enabled on the system.

yes, for extension just rewrite files, no changes with license key, no changes in database
